Grace & Glory Lutheran Church

Sunday School is provided at Grace and Glory for children ages three and up.

Classes for 2007-08 will be divided as shown below:

Preschool through Grade 1; Grades 2 through Grade 5; Grades 6 through Grade 9

At 9:15, children in Classes One and Two begin their education hour together at the Gathering, a time of music,

an introduction to the day’s lesson, offering and prayer. During the Gathering, children also learn about the church year

and develop their worship skills by participation and leadership. Baptismal birthdays are celebrated at this time also.

Please give your child’s baptismal birthday date to Julie Martell if you haven’t done so already.

Old Hat; New Hat~ The transition is complete. Last year Julie Martell and Susan Seehaver worked

together to make our Sunday School program run well. This year as Julie settles into her music duties,

Susan will take on the rest of the Sunday School duties. Julie will still lead the gatherings and work with us on

special projects such as the Christmas pageant, but Susan will order curriculum, keep supplies up to date, provide

teacher training, recruit volunteers and be the contact person for Sunday School teachers and parents.

Confirmation News

Confirmation Kickoff…….is right around the corner! All students in grades 6 thru 10 are invited to bring your

parents and join the fun on Friday, August 24 at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Paul & Susan Seehaver. Pastor Albright

will get us started on our first full year using the Head2Heart Faith Inkubators confirmations curriculum.

It will be a great opportunity to welcome the new students, reconnect with those you haven’t seen all summer,

have some fun, learn a few things you might not already know, and eat pizza. Not bad for a Friday night!

Make a Joyful Noise!

All children in first grade and older are invited to be a part of the choir. The choir meets on Tuesday evenings at

7:00 pm at the church office, located at 96 Garden Lane. If you would like more information, please call Julie
