![]() Stewardship as a Way of Life As Grace and Glory moves forward in expanding all areas of our church, and in keeping with our mission, "as a caring Christian community." Let us take a minute to reflect on what it means to be a Steward of God's word and carrying the message to others. One definition of a steward is "one appointed to supervise the provisions and distribution of food and drink." One way we can all view ourselves as a Steward of God is demonstrated every time we participate in the Eucharist. If we look upon the act of receiving the blood and body of Christ during the Eucharist as receiving God's provisions of food and drink, then we can begin to see what God has lovingly provided to us so that we can give to others. When we receive the Eucharist, we have received a gift from God. Now what are we to do with this gift? Let us give this gift to others. As it is written in Psalm 96:2,3 and 4: "Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples." "Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; he is to be revered above all gods."
Grace and Glory is growing and God has blessed us all. Let us be Stewards of his blessing and pass it on to others. As Christians, we are all Stewards for God. Let us move forward in thought, word and deed to do God's work. Let us all come forward and demonstrate what we can do to pass on God's gifts to our church, our community, and to the world. We are all precious in the eyes of God.
