2012 ELCA Youth Gathering - July 18-22, 2012 in New Orleans
The 2012 National Youth Gathering is less than a year away and believe it or not, now is the time to make your commitment to join the fun, fellowship and faith that are a part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience!
The ELCA Youth Gathering occurs only once every 3 years and you don't want to miss it! Nearly 40,000 High School youth and leaders will fill the Louisiana Superdome and the streets of New Orleans over the course of 5 days worshiping, learning and serving. The 2012 theme is "Citizens with the Saints" and the accompanying theme scripture is Ephesians 2:14-20, paraphrased here:
Jesus is our peace. In his life and death on the cross, Jesus broke down the dividing walls so that we are no longer strangers and outsiders, but we are citizens with the saints and also members of the household of God. The foundation of God's house was built of apostles and prophets, and Jesus, the cornerstone, holds it all together.
